The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the engineering department in the completion of process engineering projects following best-in-class practices. The Engineering Supervisor will directly execute on and oversee a team of engineers in the execution of, a variety of engineering functions including upgrades to plant design, root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives and management of capital projects. The Engineering Supervisor will have direct supervisory responsibility of the process engineers, and report directly to the Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
The Engineering Supervisor will support all policies, goals, and objectives of the company while representing the company knowledgeably and professionally.

Facilitates effective communication and positive working relationships between departments and with peers, superiors and subordinates.
Works closely with the operations department to effectively implement and integrate maintenance and profitability capital projects.
Ensures vendors and contractors are qualified to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to retain best-in-class production.
Power-user of the Distributive Control System (DCS).
Drives effective change through the Management of Change (MOC)
Ensures compliance with safety and environmental programs and
Ensures compliance with policies and procedures and issues disciplinary action to employees as needed, in coordination with the CTO and Human Resources.
Facilitates the performance management process to include conducting performance appraisals and regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings with employees
Participates in the interview and selection process for new

Minimum Requirements
BS-Engineering; Chemical Engineering preferred
8 years of operations experience in a large-scale industrial, continuous process manufacturing environment.
Ethanol manufacturing experience
Experience with processing equipment; evaporators, heat exchangers, centrifuges, drying equipment, boilers, cooling towers, chiller, air compressors, pumps, valves, electrical circuits, and instrumentation
5 yrs of capital project management experience; PMP certification
3 yrs of experience in a supervisory/leadership
Proven track record of managing large capital
Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and organizational
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis
General knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations for construction and
