Position Overview
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for all aspects of maintenance, mechanical reliability, and capacity assurance at the refinery. This role provides leadership to supervisors, engineers, planners, and technicians while driving safety excellence, CMMS discipline, workforce capability, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize plant performance and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Maintenance Supervisors, Engineers, Planners, and Technicians.
- Serve as a visible safety leader, supporting a zero-injury workplace.
- Own and enforce SAP-HANA CMMS as the single source of truth for all maintenance activities.
- Drive preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies.
- Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Collaborate with Plant and Corporate Leadership to support safe, reliable operations.
- Manage departmental planning, scheduling, and execution to maximize asset availability.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, regulatory, and reliability standards.
- Stay current on maintenance reliability technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 5–7+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a complex, continuous process environment.
- Experience in sugar refining, food processing, or similar industrial manufacturing preferred.
- Strong background with large industrial equipment and utilities, including boilers and power systems.
- Proven expertise in CMMS optimization, reliability programs, and predictive maintenance tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA and food safety standards (GMP, BRC, SQF).
