My client is a well-established leader in the third-party logistics industry, they specialize in e-commerce and are looking for an experienced WMS Systems Analyst to assist with implementations. Experience with WMS systems is a must and experience with Softeon is a plus. This role can be based in San Diego, CA; Ft Worth, TX; or Tampa, FL.

 

 

Overview

This Systems Analyst Level 2 is responsible for working as part of a team to design, configure, and test new customer start up WMS solutions and deliver enhancements to support our existing network of internal and external customers. Key responsibilities include the ability to effectively work independently or on a team on assigned tasks, executing to SOP’s and standards, and drive process improvements.  This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Fulfillment Systems.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for new full-life cycle WMS startups across the network
  • Contributes and/or leads system implementation by accomplishing targeting milestones
  • Responsible for developing new product/ service-oriented strategies and enhancements
  • Assists in developing solutions for business problems inside the organization
  • Maintains applications and databases by evaluating client needs; analyzing requirements; developing software systems.
  • Needs to establish personal rapport with internal and external clients and with other persons in a position to understand service requirements
  • Validates and maintain user documentation
  • Contributes and/or leads team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Understands the business issues and data challenges of client's organization and industry
  • Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution
  • Able to work with APIs and Integration mapping between different client(s) systems
  • Audit functional specifications and system design specifications for client engagements
  • Able to test system functionality including writing test scripts, assisting with user testing and training
  • Responsible for tracking issues and resolving in a timely manner
  • Accountable for enforcement of product deadlines and schedules
  • Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback
  • Executes project standards
  • Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients

 

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related technology degree is required
  • Two (2) years of related experience and/or training supporting the Softeon WMS preferred
  • Experience in training other associates/employees on Softeon strongly preferred.
  • Experience with systems for multi-site warehousing/distribution/fulfillment/logistics operations preferred
  • Experience with conveyor systems, high speed sorters, putwalls, and other distribution technologies is preferred

 


 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of WMS experience
  • Must have experience with process management
  • Must have strong analysis skills to uncover root causes of issues and present preventative measures for true resolution
  • Must be willing to travel for business up to 20% of the time.
  • Experience in logistics including warehousing,  packaging and fulfillment are preferred
  • Must possess decision making and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to “learn on the fly”
  • Must be customer focused and possess a high degree of integrity and trust
  • Must have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
